The Group was formed in 2014 to address the issues that contractors experience on site with modern concrete mixes in partnership with the DFI. The Group has been supported by the industry including consultants, concrete suppliers and contractors with a view to collaborating to create a practical guide to placement and testing of Tremie concrete on site.
As a result the group is funding a field research project in both the US and Europe to establish what the acceptability criteria should be for the concrete provided for use on site. This work is being carried out with the Technical University of Munich and Missouri University of Science and Technology in the US.
The guide created by this Task Group can be viewed HERE.
