Launching the New FPS Working Platform Certificate and Guidance Notes

Time to event

Date

31 March 2026 1.00pm BST

Duration

45 min

The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) have been leading the way in working platform safety in the UK for over 20 years.

Despite significant improvements in working platforms over that time, there are still challenges faced in ensuring the provision of suitable and safe working platforms.  In response to these challenges, plus other recent developments and initiatives across the wider industry, the FPS have undertaken a thorough review of the Working Platform Certificate and associated guidance notes.

Chaired by Simon Jones (Keller), this 45 minute, interactive webinar will highlight the improvements to the FPS Working Platform Certificate and its guidance notes.  There will presentations from both Andrew Heathcote (Keller) and Dominic Torr (Van Elle) who will collectively introduce the certificate and provide a detailed overview to new supporting guidance notes, which have been prepared as part of the review, relating to materials for and excavations/reinstatement through installed platforms.
