EFFC Health & Safety Awards 2026 – Call for Entries
The European Federation of Foundation Contractors is proud to announce the launch of the Health & Safety Awards 2026. Building on the success of previous editions, we continue with the enhanced model introduced in 2025, aimed at encouraging broader participation—particularly from smaller contractors within our industry.
For 2026, three inclusive and forward-looking categories have been established:
🛠️ Safety Performers
Share your success and recognise the teams or individuals within your organisation who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to safety over the past year—whether on site, in workshops, or in the office.
Tell us why they deserve recognition and how their achievements can benefit the wider foundations industry. Entries can be submitted for both individuals and project teams.
💡 Foundations Industry Innovation
Have you implemented an innovation that is helping to advance the foundations industry? Big or small—we want to hear your story.
This category goes beyond safety and includes sustainability and broader industry improvements. Examples include:
- new tools and equipment
- engineering or administrative innovations
- organised campaigns and alternative working methods
- sustainability and environmental initiatives
- wellbeing and mental health programmes
- new materials and techniques
In short: anything that makes the foundations industry safer, smarter, and more sustainable.
🤝 Cultural Change Initiatives
What programmes within your organisation are truly making a difference?
Share your initiatives that drive behavioural change, improve safety culture, and enhance working practices. Show how you are creating real impact on the ground.
Judging Process
As in 2025, the judging process will be led by each Federation. We encourage all members to actively participate and to promote the awards within their networks.

The EFFC Health & Safety Awards offer a unique opportunity to:
- showcase your achievements
- share knowledge and best practices
- contribute to a safer and more sustainable industry
Submit your project, team, or initiative and put your organisation in the spotlight.
Further details on submission procedures and deadlines will be announced by your local Federation.
Timeline:
- March 2026 – The awards categories announced as part of the H&S Webinar and should open for entries from 01 April
- Entries shall be lodged with each individual EFFC Federation
- EFFC Federations review the submissions, and each nominate their entries, three entries per Federation for each category with a closing date 01 September
- EFFC Safety and Sustainability Group meet and review the individual Federation nominations, to be scheduled.
- EFFC AGM in Edinburgh the selected Winners will be announced.
- After the announcement Award winners will be interviewed on Film and winning entries promoted by the EFFC Executive across the EFFC Website and Federations
- Face to face EFFC Executive meeting in Spring 2027 the Gold award winners will be invited to be presented with their trophies and present their entries as part of the agenda.
